CTT presents digital solutions to local entities in webinar

21 July, 2020

This Tuesday, July 21st, CTT presented the Local Digital webinar. It was an opportunity to discuss and present several subjects regarding e-commerce and the impact of the digital trend in the local structures and dynamics. It was the first of a number of webinars directed to Councils and other local administration bodies.

This totally digital event allows CTT to reach more people in a wider, more direct and impacting way. CTT remains strongly committed in the reinforcement of its capillarity, all over the country and islands, by dynamizing each Council’s local economy.

To João Bento, CTT’s CEO, this event shows “CTT’s strong commitment in the reinforcement of its capillarity, all over the country and islands, by dynamizing each Council’s local economy.” Boosted by proximity and an increasingly digital profile, this webinar is an opportunity to show and share CTT’s digital solutions, by promoting digitalization. Digital competences are very important to everyone, and CTT considers them of the utmost importance to the councils’ development and sustainability.

CTT’s capillarity within the country has always been and will keep on being part of its DNA. The digital only facilitates that capillarity. From the beginning of this COVID 19 pandemics, CTT has already released some services and campaigns to local companies and bodies, which will allow them to continue their activity safely (my managing it remotely in an increasingly digital context).

With this same purpose, CTT released the CTT Local Commerce, a service to help local retailers to show and sell their products online, and local citizens to shop at home. Jointly with the Portuguese government, CTT released the Online Stores service, that enables national SMCs to create online stores very easily. Following these offers, CTT, the Dott marketplace and several council bodies launched digital versions of physical fairs, enabling producers and retailers to sell their products faster. The home delivery logistics is ensured by CTT.

Apart from all these solutions, CTT already has some specific services, namely the partnership in the Education for All Program (Programa Educação para Todos): in the current context, where the digital platforms are the new classrooms, CTT has developed a partnership with Edubox, a complete online education technological support solution. This is what enables our students to maintain their school activities and provides the educational communities all the information required. All by providing access to laptops and online contents to families, and promoting a fairer education.

This aggregator solution includes a School Wallet, designed with Payshop, that makes it possible to implement a set of very relevant school functionalities. As an example, there is use of prepaid school cards to replace the use of live money in schools.

CTT also presented STICO (Fines’ management integrated system), a tool to meet the Councils’ new competences regarding the management of fines. CTT is the only company to have this system, and is already working with some Councils.

CTT is strongly committed with its capillarity, and in using the digital as a facilitating agent. We will continue to connect people and companies. We totally deliver.
