Superman is CTT’s philatelic issue

14 July, 2020

Last February 2020, CTT issued a philatelic collection on the DC Comics films, one of the major North-American producers. There are some of the most famous characters, and include personalized stamps of: Harley Quinn, The Joker, Superman, Superwoman and Batman.

This month of July, CTT presented the fourth of the six characters that compose this philatelic collection: Superman. One of the most important characters in western pop culture, he was the first comics super hero to have a magazine published with his name.

When buying the four collector’s sheets, the customers have a 15% direct discount at the Post Offices or online.

The collection is materialized in a Collector’s Sheet 30x40 cm (including the Superman Personalized Stamp) with limited editions, with a day stamp and also a 4-stamp booklet for domestic mail up to 20g.

We are all aware of the virtues of stamps as a source of information on worldwide subjects, such as natural or cultural heritages or even some fundamental worldwide issues. Even so, CTT’s Philately department has been addressing new themes, namely those related to a younger public, trying to show them the world of stamps and collections.

This is not the first collection on these issues; last November, CTT issued a collection dedicated to the Harry Potter universe, in a partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products. In 2017, in a partnership with The Walt Disney Company Portugal, CTT had also issued a collection on Star Wars.

The booklets cost 2.12€ and the Collectors’ sheets 7,50€.
