CTT – Correios de Portugal is selling all over the country, to all its customers, the masks MOxAdtech, the first which have successfully overcome the tests performed by  the  Institute of Molecular Medicine João Lobo Antunes  (iMM). This makes them the first textile masks capable of inactivating the virus that causes  COVID-19.

Having in mind the present COVID-19 pandemic framework we are living in, and the concern with the safety and well-being of customers, CTT is selling this product in its retail network , at CTT shops and also at the online CTT store, here.

CTT is selling these masks which are able to inactivate the virus that causes COVID-19, even after being washed 50 times and with particles retention capacity. The fabric with quick drying technology, has antimicrobial properties and acts as a shield against the virus and bacteria (99% effectiveness) . They have a technology against odors and an Ad-tech technology with several protective layers that give a higher effectiveness and thus, a higher degree of protection. They have also a treatment that repels water thus preventing contaminated droplets to remain in the fabric. They can be used for 4 hours consecutively with no degradation of the particles retention capacity as well as of the breathability.

These masks have  OEKO-Tex certification, with no incorporation of any harmful chemical product during the manufacturing process. They have been tested and certified by independent laboratories, and are in compliance with EU applicable standards and regulations. They are designed and manufactured in Portugal. They cost 10€.

CTT is aware of the instrumental role it plays in the communication and logistics channels which are vital to  economy and Portuguese society, and as such it has been implementing several mitigation measures against the spread of CoViD-19 pandemic.

CTT while providing a proximity and quality service, calls for a strict follow-up of the recommendations issued by the National Health Department, in order to ensure the safety of its clients, as well as of CTT's employees.
