CTT creates new post office concept and presents new customer services

This Monday, September 7th, CTT inaugurates a new post office concept at the CTT Post Office in Lamaçães, Braga. It is based on an innovative relationship between customers and CTT.

Based on the new CTT strategic position, by connecting people and companies with total delivery, this new concept reinforces the relationship between employees and customers, enlarges the offer of services and reinforces the relationship with the companies, all at the CTT Post Office.

CTT continues and enhances its proximity with populations, and this new post office concept came up in a time of reopening of post offices. The investment in this new post office concept in Braga also aims at the promotion of the populations’ proximity by decentralizing the project and highlighting CTT’s importance and coverage (it has one of the widest retail networks in Portugal).

With this new post office concept, CTT meets the customers’ needs, considering an increasingly digital and personalized world with also increasingly demanding customers. The implementation of self-service, lounge areas, personalized services and a corporate dedicated area, apart from Banco CTT, are only some of the areas that we can find at this new Lamaçães post office.

Access to the post office is made through the 24h area, with digital and global services self-service offers. In this area, CTT meets the customers’ needs, that look for more flexibility, more speed and more autonomy regarding the CTT services. The customer may receive parcels, send mail or buy postal products for 24h/day. It will also offer the 24h postal lockers, where customers may receive their parcels with more convenience. There will also be retail products at the vending machine, apart from an ATM, where the customers may withdraw money and make payments and bank transfers.

Though this is a completely automatic area, CTT will have a CTT ambassador to help and guide customers with this new solution and get their feedback on this new experience.

The post office counters were also refreshed and will have different positions to promote proximity with customers. The post office will be a comfortable and innovative place where customers will find new products and services.

At the highest tables, in the middle of the post office, the customer is able to: drink coffee, confirm the next shows available and buy tickets, read emails, charge the mobile phone battery or just comfortably wait for his/her turn making use of the free wifi.

CTT also presents the corporate area, to help SMCs and micro companies promote their best offers to customers. There, companies will also be able to simulate and contact with the customers more privately. This area is in a different sector for more convenience.

There will also be an area to offer local products, to promote the local populations’ visibility.

Lastly, and to ensure the best service, the CTT employees will have a new training program.

This is the first CTT post office to receive this new concept, that will be gradually extended to all CTT network.
