A Crypto Stamp is an innovative postage stamp that combines the physical and digital worlds:
- Physical stamp: valid for mailing and collecting.
- Digital stamp (NFT): a unique and authentic version registered on the blockchain.
The Portuguese stamp is dedicated to Poseidon, God of the Seas in Greek Mythology, reinforcing Portugal’s Atlantic connection and its spirit of exploration. Innovation and tradition united in a single stamp.
This year, we’ve prepared a joint issue dedicated to Greek Mythology. 5 countries, 6 gods, one unique release: Crypto Stamp Poseidon (CTT), Zeus & Hera (Austrian Post), Hermes (PostNL), Artemis (Post Luxembourg), and Athena (bpost).
Activate the NFC function on your smartphone and hold it close to the stamp. The authenticity will be verified via the web.
Use your smartphone to scan the QR Code printed on the back of the stamp to activate the digital twin. Alternatively, you can use the NFC function or visit cryptostamp.com.
If you don’t yet have a digital wallet to transfer your Crypto Stamp to, go to metamask.io and install the app to create your wallet. Be sure to write down the secret recovery phrase and store it in a safe place.
Carefully remove the security film that contains the access code to the NFT. Go to cryptostamp.com and use the revealed code to transfer the digital twin by selecting “Transfer to my Wallet,” after connecting your digital wallet. Confirm the transaction.
Once the digital stamp (NFT) is transferred, you can view, trade, or collect it online. Rarity is assigned randomly.
