Triple investment in promising startups

19 April, 2024

The 1520 Innovation Fund (former Techtree Fund) launched by CTT to support innovation activities in small and medium-sized companies and start-ups, participated in the financing round of 3 promising startups: Neuralshift, Ubirider and Gofact.

Neuralshift is a start-up that develops business software solutions using artificial intelligence algorithms. This is a bet in the context of a dynamic acceleration of investments in areas that are of high priority in CTT's innovation agenda, such as Artificial Intelligence. Furthermore, it is a startup that, having been born in an academic context, was monitored from a very early stage of its existence, due to CTT's proximity to the scientific community at Universities.

Ubirider is a Portuguese start-up, responsible for developing a “mobility as a service” (MaaS) platform, the Ubirider Platform, which allows transport and mobility operators to digitally manage all aspects of their business, with information In real time. The platform also includes a mobile application, Pick, which allows travelers to plan multimodal trips, pay the associated fares and, when traveling, receive support based on contextual information, also in real time.

This is a bet that assumes the payments business, namely ticketing, as being of great relevance for CTT, namely for the group's Payments company, Payshop. At the same time, it participates in an effort to more effectively use public transport, thus also contributing to environmental sustainability, which is one of our strategic priorities at CTT

GoFact is a start-up that develops integrated management solutions for companies and individuals, which provide greater efficiency and democratization of financial and document management processes.

This is a bet that is based on a dynamic of accelerating investments with a strong R&D component, in this case applied to the development of technology with a view to simplifying document management, online invoicing and banking management processes with support for artificial intelligence. This investment is in line with CTT's conviction that companies are increasingly looking for integrated solutions that simplify their day-to-day management.

The operationalization and monitoring of these startups will, as usual, be done through CTT's interaction program with start-ups, the 1520 StartuProgram.
