Terms of Use of the CTT Ticket Online Service

Service provider: CTT- Correios de Portugal, S A, with head office at Rua de São José, no. 20 in Lisbon, registered at the Business Registry of Lisbon under the registration number 500077568.

The CTT ticket online service, owned by CTT – Correios de Portugal, S.A., referred to hereinafter as CTT, is provided to its CLIENTS, referred to hereinafter as CLIENT, within the following Terms of Use:

1. Definição do serviço

a) What is it?

The sale of tickets online is a service that allows the CLIENT to buy tickets in a swift and personalised way at the CTT website, www.ctt.pt; the CLIENT will pick up the tickets at the ticket office at the event venue.

b) How to use the service?

The CLIENT:

1 - Chooses the show, the date and the time;

2 – Chooses the seat(s);

3 – Adds to the basket;

4 – Chooses the payment method;

5 – Confirms the purchase / enters the data for payment

c) Quantity

The CLIENT may purchase a maximum of ten (10) tickets per transaction.

2. Principles of use

a) By using the CTT Ticket online service the CLIENT acknowledges and accepts these Terms of Use.

b) CTT operates only as the mediator and communication means in the printing process of the tickets chosen by the CLIENT.

3. Registration at CTT website

a) To access the CTT Ticket online you have to register at the CTT Ticket website.

b) The registration at the CTT website is mandatory to use the CTT ticket online service.

c) The CLIENT benefits from some functionalities offered by the CTT Ticket online service when logging in.

d) Advantages for the CLIENT when registering at the CTT website:

i) The list of his/her contacts is saved in the service memory, facilitating the future use of the service.  

ii) The tickets purchased are saved in the service memory, enabling the CLIENT to reedit the purchase receipt.

4. CTT guarantees that it will not use the CLIENT’s data for commercial purposes or for information to third parties without the CLIENT’s expressed consent in accordance with the legislation in force.

5. Payment

All information provided by the CLIENT is confidential and will be used only by CTT to process the order and to send relevant information that meets effectively the CLIENT’s preferences.

a) Credit card

i) Choosing this payment method, you are choosing to purchase at that very moment. You don’t have to send any purchase receipt to validate the purchase.

For this purpose, you have to enter some credit card data, as follows:

(1) Name of the holder

(2) Card number

(3) Expiry date

(4)The three last digits indicated at the back of the card

ii) This method is totally safe as the credit card data are conveyed directly to the Redunicre servers without any knowledge of CTT.

iii) Credit cards valid for use: Visa and Eurocard.

iv) CTT ensures that the money is drawn from the account only after the operation is completed.

6. Unavailability of Tickets

In case tickets are temporarily unavailable you may enter your CLIENT name to be informed of any updates.

7. Pick up of tickets

The tickets are picked up at the event venue (Exclusive Ticket Office) by presenting the document sent to CLIENT’s email at the end of the transaction.

On the left bottom of the email sent to the CLIENT there is a “get exchange slip” button. The CLIENT must print that slip to show at the Ticket office.

This published document serves as purchase receipt.

8. Postponing of shows

It depends on the promoter’s decision; usually it is not necessary to return the tickets and you may keep the purchase receipt to use it on the day of the show.

9. Cancellation of shows

a) In the case of cancellation of a show, CTT will return the total amount of the purchase.

b) Whenever a show is cancelled, CTT emails all information regarding the procedure of reimbursement.

10. Return of tickets

In accordance with the information referred in the tickets and sales points, no exchanges or return of tickets are accepted.

11. Limitations of Liability

a) The CTT Ticket online service is owned by CTT – Correios de Portugal, S.A.

b) The CLIENT is liable for any misuse of the CTT Ticket online service that is directly attributable to him/her or for any breach of these Terms of Use.

c) CTT does not guarantee the permanent availability of the CTT Ticket online service.

d) CTT is not liable for any communication failure of the service network or for any other reason of force majeurethat may cause any failure or delay when the CLIENT is using the CTT Ticket online service, and will not be held responsible for any damages or losses that may arise.

e) CTT is not liable for any loss or damage resulting directly or indirectly of the use of CTT Ticket online service.

f) CTT is not liable for the colour and image variations that may be caused by the features of the reduction or printing of the image downloaded by the CLIENT.

12. Termination

Failure to fulfil any of the obligations resulting from these Terms of Use entitles CTT to terminate the Agreement and cancel the provision of the service, by means of a written notification to the CLIENT with immediate effect.

14. Jurisdiction and Law

a) The Portuguese law is applicable to these Terms of Use.

b) Any dispute arising from the Agreement of CTT Tickets online service, including those regarding interpretation, integration or application of these Terms of Use shall be brought by the competent Court of the judicial district of Lisbon, with exclusion of any other.

15. Miscellaneous

a) Whenever deemed necessary CTT may add or amend these Terms of Use;

b) The amendments and/ or additions will be effective (30) thirty days after the information is sent to the CLIENT through the CTT Ticket online website;

c) For any other provision not foreseen in these Terms of Use, the provisions of the General Conditions of the CTT website (www.ctt.pt) shall be applied.
