At CTT’s Post Offices you have several options available to pay the tolls according to your usage profile.

If you are using a vehicle with a Portuguese registered license plate you can pay tolls after using the highways with electronic toll collection only, without the obligation of a Contract. All you have to do is visit a CTT Post Office or PAYSHOP agent and pay your tolls by simply giving your license plate number, from within 48 hours after finishing the trip until the end of the followed fifth business day.

You can also pay at the ATM net or Homebanking. To use it you must text an SMS 48 hours after using the motorway with “CTTMB yourlicenseplatenumber” to the number 68989. After that, you’ll receive the entity, reference and amount to pay till the next day. This service can only be use for Portuguese license plates and through portuguese mobile operators.

You can subscribe, in alternative, to a prepaid contract payment using a Prepaid Via Verde (with identification of the owner of the vehicle) or a Prepaid Anonymous (without identification of the vehicle owner), or to a post-paid contract Via Verde, by which you will pay your tolls through debits made on your bank account.
