Correio Verde Carbon offsetting - Winners

The two projects that CTT will finance to offset Correio Verde carbon emissions have been selected by the public. Both projects have environmental and social benefits and through this funding carbon emissions produced along the Correio Verde value chain are fully offset.

The winning projects are the Portuguese Creating Forests and the international Use of Renewable Biomass in Brazil. The projects were select by the public through an online voting initiative that occurred from 24 April to 22 May of 2018.

CTT will finance these offset projects for two years, at the end of which CTT will open a new decision-making process to the public. Placing the choice of the offset projects to public vote, CTT aims to deepen stakeholder engagement and to return the trust they invested on CTT.
